Amazon Browse Node IDs

Modified on Fri, 15 Nov at 2:17 PM

The Amazon Browse Node IDs are unique numerical identifiers used by Amazon to categorize products. Each Browse Node ID represents a specific category, making it easier for Amazon to organize and present products to customers during searches and recommendations.

In M2E Pro Browse Node IDs can be provided in the Product Types.

You can find a list with Browse nodes by going to Product Type >> View Latest Browse Node ID List.

Here, you will be redirected to Amazon, where you can download the Browse Tree Guide (BTG) for different categories.

The downloaded file contains the Browse Node ID, Node Path, Item Type Keyword for the marketplace of your account.

As an alternative, you can use the Product Classifier tool.

Note

According to Amazon requirements, the value for Browse Node IDs should be no longer than the allowed maximum (15 characters).

If you want to assign different Browse Node IDs for various products under the same Product Type, you can enter them into a Magento attribute and set it as the source for Recommended Browse Nodes.

Note

Please note, that at the moment, Amazon API provides an opportunity to add Recommended Browse Nodes not for all Product Types.

Some Product Types may contain Item Type Keyword specific but not Recommended Browse Nodes.
