Starting December 13th, 2024, sellers shipping to Europe or Northern Ireland must comply with the General Product Safety Regulation (GPSR). To continue selling on Amazon and eBay in these regions, you have to provide manufacturer and product safety information. Here’s how to do it with M2E Pro.
Watch our video guide with steps to add GPSR information to your eBay and Amazon listings using M2E Pro.
eBay
1. Go to your M2E Pro Listing (Listings > Items) and switch to Settings View Mode.
2. Choose the products you want to update, then submit the Edit Categories & Specifics mass action.
3. In the Category Settings pop-up, click Edit under Item Specifics.
4. Add the manufacturer and safety details by selecting a Magento Attribute or entering a custom value.
Once saved, M2E Pro will automatically update the information in your eBay listings.
Amazon
Please ensure your M2E Pro is upgraded to v. 1.67.0 or higher following our documentation guides.
1. Go to Configuration > Product Types.
2. Click Refresh Amazon Data to ensure all Product Type details are up-to-date.
3. Click Select > Edit to update your Product Type with the GPSR information.
4. In the Safety & Compliance section, provide the required GPSR attributes or a custom value, then save your changes.
M2E Pro will update your listings assigned to this Product Type on Amazon.
Why Use Magento Attributes to Store GPSR Information?
When providing manufacturer and safety information to comply with GPSR requirements, we recommend you to use Magento Attributes.
This approach offers several advantages:
- Time-saving: Rather than configuring settings for each product individually, you can assign Magento Attributes to Amazon Product Types or eBay Categories and reuse them across multiple listings.
- Consistency across Channels: Use the same Magento Attributes for eBay and Amazon products.
- Streamlined management: Avoid repetitive tasks by centralizing data in Magento Attributes.
Following these steps ensures your listings stay GPSR-compliant and visible to European buyers.
