To make your eBay listings more appealing to potential customers, you can create custom HTML description templates and personalize the way your items are presented on eBay.
If you want to list your items with a custom description on eBay, M2E Pro allows you to do so using Description Policy.
After pasting your HTML custom description template in the Description Value field, Magento WYSIWYG editor can apply formatting to its contents. As a result, CSS stylesheet links and tags may be stripped once you save the Description Policy in M2E Pro. The description of the listed item will be incomplete and will not be displayed correctly on eBay.
To avoid this, you can choose to use the custom description from the Magento Attribute instead. Simply paste your custom description template in the Description/Short Description attribute field of the corresponding Products in your Magento catalog. Its text editor is similar to that in M2E Pro Description Policy and is no less convenient.
Once the custom description is indicated for your Magento Products, navigate to your Description Policy (eBay > Configuration > Policies > Description Policy) and select to use Product Description or Product Short Description value.
This way, the related custom description data will be taken from the Description/Short Description attribute in Magento. The item’s custom description template will be displayed correctly in full on eBay when the item is listed via M2E Pro.
