In the dynamic world of e-commerce, customer satisfaction often hinges on streamlined processes, especially when it comes to returns. Recognizing this, Otto Marketplace requires providing both shipping and return tracking numbers when the ordered products are shipped.
As soon as an order is ready for dispatch, a seller should provide Otto with a shipping confirmation. It should contain the shipping service provider as well as the outbound shipment number and the return shipment number. The return shipment number is used to create the return label and track the return.
Integrating the Return Tracking Number with shipping tracking numbers provides several benefits that directly enhance customer experience:
- End-to-End Visibility: providing customers with both tracking numbers allows them to monitor the journey of their purchase and subsequent return seamlessly.
- Reduced processing time: clear tracking of return shipments helps sellers identify and process returns promptly. This reduces the time between receiving a return and issuing a refund or replacement.
- Efficient Returns: return tracking information simplifies the returns process for buyers. They can initiate returns confidently, knowing the progress of their return shipment can be monitored.
The M2E Otto Connect provides the ability to send both shipping and return tracking numbers using Magento shipment functionality.
To ship your Otto order, the seller should create a Magento shipment with two tracking numbers – the first one is used for shipping, and the last one is used for the order return.
Only Hermes, DHL, and GLS shipping service providers can be submitted for returns. |
Once the shipment with the required information is created, M2E Otto Connect will submit the shipping information to the channel.
