 Note

The following instructions require technical skills. Please consult your developers if you need it.

To transfer M2E Pro data from Magento 1 to Magento 2, follow the next instructions:

1. Ensure your M2E Pro versions support the migration

The latest Module versions available for the data migration:

2. Prepare M2E Pro for the migration

  • In Magento 1, go to System > Configuration > M2E Pro > Advanced > Migration to Magento 2 and click Proceed. It can take up to 15 minutes to stop the dynamic Cron tasks, put M2E Pro under maintenance, and prepare its database for migration.

 Tip

Before clicking Proceed, it is recommended to create a backup of M2E Pro data in case you need to restore it in Magento 1.

  • Create a dump of all the tables with prefix 'm2epro_including both the structure and data. You can use the mysqldump utility or phpMyAdmin options.

3. Migrate the M2E Pro database to Magento 2

  • Import the created dump into the MySQL database of Magento 2.
  • Get back to the Migration Wizard following Stores > Settings > Configuration > M2E Pro > Advanced Settings > Migration from Magento 1 and click Continue at Wizard Step 2. The imported data will be adapted to the Magento 2 environment. Once the process is completed, you will be redirected to the next step.

4. Enable Synchronization

  • If your Magento 2 is ready to go live, enable automatic synchronization to start syncing your Magento inventory and sales with Channels.
  • Press Complete to exit the Wizard.

 Note

If the Domain/API of your Magento is changed after the migration, you should get a new M2E Pro License Key to ensure correct data synchronization.
